RISING gospel artist, Danmore Mandebvu, has reached a defining point in his musical journey following his collaboration with Minister Michael Mahendere on the powerful song Yahweh.
The partnership blends Mandebvu’s heartfelt songwriting with Mahendere’s unmistakable spiritual authority, resulting in a worship anthem that listeners describe as both deeply reverent and emotionally moving. For Mandebvu, working alongside a seasoned worship minister like Mahendere represents a significant breakthrough in his career.
“This is proof that when passion meets spiritual depth, the result can be a song that resonates far beyond the studio,” said Mandebvu.
He noted that Mahendere’s experience played a crucial role in refining the vocal arrangements, allowing the lead vocals and backing harmonies to merge into a sound that is both powerful and internationally appealing. Musically, the collaboration also elevated the song’s production. “Mahendere brought a unique spiritual weight to the song.
“His ministry strongly emphasises a personal relationship with God, and that influence helped shape the message behind Yahweh,” he said.
Mandebvu said the song carries a deep sense of awe that reflects the majesty and significance of God, while also reminding listeners that God is not distant, but a present and loving Father.
The musician has announced plans for a live DVD recording and album launch scheduled for March 21.
Mandebvu who is not new to the gospel circles, was part of the Afripraise world tour last year that saw them perform in Johannesburg, UK, Scotland, Dubai, Poland and Australia.
