SOUTH Africa-based award-winning gospel diva Brenda Masara is on a mission to unite different musicians and ministers by giving them a platform to showcase their unique talents.
In April this year, Masara will hold a concert in Cape Town called ‘In His Presence Season 2,’ where different artists and ministers will gather to sing songs of praise and preach the word of God.
Speaking from her base in Cape Town, Masara said she developed this concept last year as a way to give a platform to different musicians and ministers so that they can showcase their talents in music and preaching while also giving praise to the Lord.
She said:
“I started this concept last year because I love to do the Lord’s work. I love to praise his name every day because he has done wonders for me.
“So, In His Presence started last year and we are back with Season 2, and we are very excited because we have lined up many musicians and ministers who will come to sing, preach and dance whilst praising the name of the Lord.
“My aim really is to gather as many musicians and ministers of the word of God as possible and we sing and praise the name of God.
“In doing so, we will also be giving a platform to other musicians and ministers to carve their names in the music industry,” she said.
Other musicians and ministers who have been lined up to perform this year include the likes of Welly G, Faiton Mabasa, Angie Bvunzawabaya, Dr Macmillan and JD Music.
Masara started her musical journey in April 2021 when she debuted in the industry with her single ‘In Your Presence.’
Later that year, she released her debut album called ‘Hold My Hand’, which carried hit songs such as ‘Hold My Han’, African Praise, Ndovimba Nemi and Ndiragarirei.
The following year, she won her first award at the Zimbabwe Community News Awards for the Most Promising Upcoming Musician.
