PREPARATIONS for this year’s National Culture Month launch by President Mnangagwa are progressing well with infrastructural developments taking place in Chiredzi where the annual event will be held next week.
President Mnangagwa will headline the launch at Rusununguko Clinic under Chief Tshovani in Chiredzi where all roads will lead to next Thursday as Zimbabwe celebrates its rich and diverse culture while positioning it to drive inclusive growth in line with Vision 2030.
The theme for this year’s Culture Month is, “Celebrating Indigenous Voices”.
Permanent Secretary for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Dr Addmore Pazvakavambwa yesterday said all roads will lead to Tshovani on May 22 for the National Culture Month launch by President Mnangagwa.
There will be exhibitions to celebrate Zimbabwe’s rich cultural diversity that will be displayed through dance, song, poetry, food and dressing.
“We are privileged as a province to be hosting the 2025 National Culture Month launch by his Excellency Cde Dr ED Mnangagwa and on May 22 all roads should lead to Masvingo province at Rusununguko Clinic which is under the jurisdiction of Chief Tshovani,’’ said Dr Pazvakavambwa.
“We are excited as a province that we are hosting such a big event because of developments in infrastructure that take place.
“In Chiredzi, we are already seeing the setting up of more village business units that will benefit locals while some institutions in the Tshovani area are being electrified, these are positive developments that align with Vision 2030.’’
Dr Pazvakavambwa said the decision to hold the national Culture Month launch in Chiredzi showed that the Second Republic under President Mnangagwa was committed to engendering development in all corners of Zimbabwe.
“The choice of Chiredzi to host such a high profile event as the National Culture Month launch by the President speaks to the vision being championed by President Mnangagwa of leaving no one and no place behind,’’ added Dr Pazvakavambwa.
