The anticipation is building for the Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 pageant, set to take place at Harare’s Hippodrome Amphitheatre on May 17.

This year’s top 10 finalists represent a vibrant array of talent and ambition, handpicked by an esteemed panel of judges, including reigning queen Sakhile Dube.

As the spotlight shines on these remarkable women, they prepare to compete not just for a title, but for the opportunity to inspire and uplift others.

Among the finalists are Onesimo Nkomo, Samkhele Dhlamini, Charmaine Emmanuel, Chiedza Mhosva, Brenda Kadewe, Rumbidzai Muzopa, Annie-Grace Mutambu, Charlotte Muziri, Talic Magaiza, and Lyshanda Moyo.

Each contestant brings her own unique story, vision, and background, reflecting the diverse wall-hanging of Zimbabwean society.

What makes this year’s competition particularly exciting is the inclusion of married women and mothers.

For the first time, the pageant embraces contestants who embody a broader definition of femininity and strength.

This shift marks a significant departure from traditional norms that have historically limited participation based on marital and parental status.

Contestants like Charlotte Muziri, Miss Zimbabwe International, Chiedza Mhosva, a former Miss World Zimbabwe, and Annie Grace Mutambu, a former Miss Zimbabwe, return to the stage with experience and renewed passion.

Miss Universe Zimbabwe national director, Tendai Hunda expresses her excitement about this year’s finalists.

“The top 10 is a testament to the progress we’ve made in redefining beauty and success. Each of these women brings a unique story and perspective, and I am thrilled to see their journeys unfold,” said Hunda.

She said that this year’s competition is not merely about physical beauty but also about the intelligence, ambition, and social impact each contestant represents.

In preparation for the upcoming pageant, the finalists will undergo an intensive boot camp focusing on personal branding, public speaking, and community outreach.

They will learn to project their voices and share their visions with the world. This preparation is crucial, not just for the competition, but for the potential advocacy roles they may assume as public figures.

Hunda said this year show will be held for two hours.

“The final show will unfold on May 17, with a preshow on May 16, during which the top 5 and top 3 contestants will be announced.”

“This year’s format promises to be engaging and dynamic, with a focus on showcasing each contestant’s individuality and strengths,” she said.

Hunda assures that the event will be tightly scripted to ensure a seamless experience for the audience.

“We want this show to resonate with viewers and leave a lasting impression,” she said.

“This is a celebration of talent, beauty, and resilience. Each woman has a story to tell, and we want to amplify their voices.”

The Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 pageant is set to be a groundbreaking event, promising to elevate the voices of women and redefine beauty in its many forms.

The winner will represent the country at Miss Universe in Thailand.
