Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Zhemu Soda is today touring the country’s largest diversified media house, Zimpapers, to get an appreciation of operations.
In his remarks, Minister Soda said it is imperative for media houses to change with the times.

“We should be modernising, and I am happy that you are digitalising most of your platforms and you have diversified,” he said.
Dr Soda said he was looking forward to being shown around the company.
In her welcome remarks, Zimpapers board member Ms Sibyl Madzikanda said the company remains aligned with the Ministry’s priorities.

Giving an overview of Zimpapers, Chief Executive Officer Mr William Chikoto said the media house has fully embraced the Government’s policy direction.
He apprised the Minister and his delegation of the company’s ongoing digital transformation.
Zimpapers is transforming from a print-first model to a digital-first focus.

Mr Chikoto alluded that this was necessitated by the changing tastes of audiences.
