ZIMBABWE international midfielder Marshall Munetsi ended his five-match goal drought in the English Premiership yesterday when he scored for Wolves against Burnley.
The Warriors vice-captain headed home from close range in the dying moments of the first half to complete a fine fightback for Wolves during that period.
The home side, who have been struggling this season, found themselves two goals down in the first half.
Zian Fleming thrust the visitors into the lead with a beauty, cushioning the ball first time with his right foot and finding the accuracy to drill it past the goalkeeper from outside the box in the 14th minute.
It got even better for the Clarets, who have shown remarkable fighting spirit all season, when Fleming doubled their lead.
But Wolves fought back superbly in the final moments of the first half.
Strand Larsen, wearing the captain’s armband, reduced arrears from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute, sending the ‘keeper the wrong way.
Then, in the fourth minute of time added on, Munetsi headed home the goal to ensure the two sides would go to the break level.
Munetsi’s last league goal had come against Everton in a 2-3 losing cause.
