The finalists of the “Munondida Ndakadaro” Open Verse Challenge, curated by gospel musician Everton Mlalazi, have been announced, with the winner set to walk away with US$1 000.

The top five finalists are Triciah Jonas, Ashley Nkiwane, Valentine Zvavano, Ruth Alfredo, and Takudzwa Splits. They were selected from hundreds of passionate creatives who participated in the initiative, which was designed to give emerging musicians a platform to showcase their hidden talents while praising God.

The winner of the competition will be revealed soon, with judges considering factors such as creativity, melody, music arrangement, and social media engagement in their decision.

Munondida Ndakadaro is a spiritually resonant gospel track featured on Mlalazi’s 2026 album, Great God. The song has been performing strongly on local charts and currently holds the number one spot on the Star FM Gospel Greats show.
