MUNTU, the 12-year-old wonder kid known as the living proof, has switched gears and dived into gospel rap with the imminent release of his powerful new single titled Jehova, dropping on 21 November.
The young star says the song carries a message of healing and hope for anyone walking through dark valleys.
In the track, Muntu raps and sings about people battling depression, drug addiction, pain and even those behind bars.
His message is simple but bold. God is the ultimate healer and no situation is beyond His reach.
The track was recorded at Roxtonic Media in Plumtree by producer Valentine Mpofu, before being mastered at ArmyDog Studios in South Africa.
Valentine said the song has all the makings of a youth anthem.
“I believe this is going to be a hit, especially among the youth. The lyrics carry a relevant message that draws people closer to God and strengthens Christianity,” he said.
Godima Mketuli Dlamini of ArmyDog Studios in Johannesburg, who has worked with Muntu since 2024, echoed the excitement.
“I have worked with Muntu on four songs since 2024. This new track, Jehova, is very interesting and will strengthen Christian belief among those who already believe in God,” he said.
The young rapper’s confidence, delivery and conviction have already grabbed attention across Plumtree and beyond.
Industry watchers say Muntu is carving out his own space as one of the most promising gospel talents to emerge in recent years.
Jehova is expected to touch hearts and shake speakers when it officially lands on all digital platforms on Friday.
