WARRIORS forward Admiral Muskwe has waved goodbye to Finnish outfit IFK Mariehamn after his contract was terminated by mutual consent, at his own request.
The 26-year-old, who joined the club in January, endured an injury-cursed stint that saw him spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch.
In his short stay, Muskwe made just seven Veikkausliiga appearances, starting only once, and managed a single assist.
IFK Mariehamn confirmed the split, saying:
“IFK Mariehamn and striker Admiral Muskwe have mutually agreed to terminate his contract, at Admiral’s own request. Admiral has been plagued by injuries during his time at the club and has therefore not been able to show his full potential or take the place in the squad that he had hoped for. We thank Admiral for his time at IFK Mariehamn and wish him good luck in his continued career.”
The former Luton Town and Leicester City man now sets his sights on a fresh start and hopefully, a season without the physio’s table as his second home.
