Mzoe 7 Celebrates 34th Birthday by Honouring Creatives

Mthokozisi Ncube

Poet and creative Mzoe 7 is today celebrating his 34th birthday by paying tribute to creatives around the world, recognising their role in shaping society through art, entertainment and advocacy.

Instead of focusing the celebration on himself, Mzoe 7 is dedicating the day to fellow7 creatives, acknowledging the challenges they face while continuing to inspire communities.

“Creatives are always there to make the world happy, to make people laugh and smile, to help people forget their problems and struggles, to inform, entertain, advocate and educate but who does that for them? They are like superheroes of the world’s emotions and feelings, helping spread love and peace.

“Today I dedicate my birthday to every creative out there. I know it’s not easy, but we all stand up for our jobs even if we ourselves are going through the worst. We would rather help the world to smile.

“I want to thank every creative for making the world a better place. Imagine the world without music, poetry, theatre, books and entertainment. We actually help paint happiness in everyday life.

“Let’s say no to drug abuse and alcohol abuse. We need to keep7 creating safe spaces for creatives to also be human, share struggles and be able to open up,” he said.

Reflecting on his birthday tradition, Mzoe 7 says he has always used the day to celebrate people, charity and community.

“Let’s celebrate all creatives. My birthdays have always been about the people, charity and community, but this time I really thank all creatives. If there is one big celebration I would do this year it would be for creatives because they are special people and every career crosses paths with works from creatives.

“Let’s create more and I am also dedicating my birthday to the peace of the world. We pray for love and peace,” he said.
