The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) has invited all arts promoters to a crucial engagement meeting to strengthen collaboration and address key operational issues within the creative sector.
The meeting is scheduled for November 11 at 10am and will take place at the NACZ head office in Harare, with the option to participate virtually via Zoom.
NACZ executive director Napoleon Nyanhi said the session is part of the Council’s ongoing efforts to professionalise the arts sector and foster a more efficient and inclusive cultural ecosystem.
“We highly value your input and participation as we work together to ensure a vibrant and orderly cultural landscape in Zimbabwe,” said Nyanhi.
He added that the agenda will cover a range of critical topics, including show clearances and regulations, feedback from engagements with the City Council on arts-related matters, strategies to regulate operations of unregistered promoters, and a potential review of promoter fees in line with the Government’s goal to reduce the cost of doing business in Zimbabwe.
Nyanhi said promoters’ continued commitment is vital to the growth and regulation of the local arts industry.
“Your contributions are crucial as we work collectively to build a more structured and sustainable arts environment. We look forward to a productive session,” he said. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
