Zimbabwean musician Jah Prayzah has been praised for a spectacular turnout at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg, South Africa, as part of his ongoing Ndini Mukudzeyi world tour.
The indoor venue, which seats 4 300 but can hold up to 6 300, saw nearly 10 000 fans in attendance, with VIPs occupying the arena floor.
Arts promoter and businessman Tinashe Mutarisi lauded the achievement, calling it a major milestone for Zimbabwean music.
“This is a win for the Zimbabwean music industry. This is what we waited for, for the longest time,” he wrote on Facebook.
Mutarisi added that Jah Prayzah’s success is not only a personal triumph but also a path opener for upcoming artistes.
“Once again, Jah Prayzah has opened another door for all other artistes to grow through. I’m really happy for him. He is a hard worker, and I believe he deserves the best of life.”
Jah Prayzah, known for his dedication and prolific output, is riding high on the success of his latest release, Ndini Mukudzeyi, which features crowd favourites like Ruzhowa.
The tour is set to conclude with a grand performance in Harare on November 29, promising a memorable finish to what has been a record-breaking run.
