NEW: Air Force of Zimbabwe personnel gather in Kadoma for annual sporting extravaganza

PERSONNEL and officers from the country’s three Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ) bases have converged at Jason Ziyaphapha Moyo Air Base in Kadoma for the 2025 edition of the Inter-Air Force Base Sports Competition.

The event, which promotes teamwork, fitness and camaraderie among officers, will culminate in a closing ceremony officiated by AFZ Commander Air Marshal Jacob Nzvede, who will also present awards to outstanding teams and individuals.

Air Marshal Nzvede is accompanied by Manyame Base Commander Air Commodore Enerst Matsambira, Josiah Tungamirai Base Commander Air Commodore Mubairo Dhliwayo and Jason Ziyaphapha Moyo Base Commander Air Commodore Ellen Chiweshe.

Hundreds of participants from Manyame, Josiah Tungamirai (Thornhill) and the host base are competing in football, netball, tug of war and other sporting disciplines.
