NEW: Chitungwiza to allocate trading space to SMEs, informal sector

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs), including informal businesses that have been affected by the ongoing clean-up operation, will soon be allocated new trading spaces by Chitungwiza Municipality.

In a statement on Thursday, Chitungwiza acting town clerk Mrs Evangelist Machona said the local authority had 26 designated sites with an estimated carrying capacity of 5 741 ready for occupation.

“Chitungwiza Municipality wishes to inform all registered Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) traders to visit their respective district offices for allocation of trading spaces . . .

“In addition, those who may have been affected by the ongoing clean-up operation are also encouraged to visit their respective districts for registration at a fee determined by Council,” said Mrs Machona.
