THE Harare City Council has been attending to a major fault at Morton Jaffray Water Works and is confident of restoring supplies to affected suburbs such as Glen View, Glen Norah, parts of Highfield, Budiriro, Mufakose and Marimba today.

“We experienced a pipe burst at Morton Jaffray on the line which supplies water to Marimba and Lochinvar reservoirs,” said council in a statement yesterday.

“This has affected water supply coverage in the southern suburbs.

“Our teams are working flat out to restore supplies. We should expect supplies to be restored later today (yesterday) and tomorrow morning.  We apologise for any inconveniences that may have been caused.”
