A 16-year-old girl from Chitungwiza, Ashley (full name supplied), is seeking assistance to undergo an operation at a local hospital for a rare skin condition.
About US$500 is required for her to be operated on, which her parents say they are currently unable to raise.
The girl’s mother, Priviledge Zambuko, says they urgently want the child to receive help before the condition worsens.
“My daughter needs to undergo an operation here in Harare but at the moment we do not have the financial means,” she said.
“We are appealing to members of the public who are able to assist with the money because the hospital we went to requires US$500 for her to be assisted.
“She has a skin problem, which becomes extremely dry and hard on her face.
“The doctors said she needs to undergo an operation and receive treatment to stop the condition from getting worse and if she doesn’t get the operation, it will affect her face.”
It is believed that Ashley needs to get assistance this month.
Those who wish to help Ashley can send their EcoCash contributions or call her mother on 0785 872 803, which is registered under the name Priviledge Zambuko.
