THE romantic saga between Chido Tomu and her former lover Alson Shumba has taken another twist.
Chido has now apologised to Shumba and told H-Metro that she was withdrawing all the claims she made against his former lover.
This followed a day of drama in the capital in which the two parties even ended up at a police station.
Chido recently opened up about how the collapse of their relationship left her a shattered woman. She claimed she was pained after she found out that Shumba had secretly married another woman.
The two recently found themselves before a magistrate following a dispute in which Shumba accused Chido of allegedly insulting him. However, after the court drama, Chido has decided to bury the hatchet.
“I was hurt, angry and overwhelmed by everything that had happened and I spoke out of pain,” she said.
Chido said she now regretted some of the things she said during the heated fallout and was now taking back her words.
“I realise that some of the things I said were hurtful and I deeply regret saying them. I am taking back my words and sincerely apologise for any damage or embarrassment they may have caused Alson and his family,” she said.
Their relationship began in 2021 when the pair met at the University of Zimbabwe.
