PREMIER Soccer League top scorers Washington Navaya and Tymon Machope have earned call-ups to the 24-man Zimbabwe squad for international friendlies against Algeria and Qatar next week.
The squad, announced by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), will be led by new coach Marian ‘Mario’ Marinica and largely features the backbone of the team that participated in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers and FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign.
Midfielder Sean Fusire of Sheffield Wednesday, who missed the previous call-up, has also returned to the squad.
Notable absences include vice captain Marshall Munetsi (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Khama Billiat.
ZIFA said: “These fixtures form part of the preparation programme ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.”
