AFRO-DANCEHALL singer Nisha Ts is set for the stars.

She is being hailed by music fans after her polished debut performance at the 65th Castle Tankard on Saturday.

Nisha Ts says her synergies with fellow artists is one of her secrets to the boost which her career has received.

She also notes the initial fear she had to perform in front of thousands of fans has disappeared.

She entertained thousands of fans who turned out at the Borrowdale Race Course.

“I was just over the moon, it was exciting up on that stage. The audience was just electric and I am proud to have featured on the Castle Tankard stage.

“I had my fears at first but later on felt the energy from the fans and embraced the opportunity. Zvanga zvichinakidza, I wish you were in my shoes. This was my best moment,” said Nisha Ts.

She added:

“I have become who I am today because of the fans who are sharing my music and stage performances on social media, this has helped to push my brand and I am grateful.

“Viral video clips from the song Admire Kadembo have helped and fans now seek to listen to all my music.

“I have also had a good opportunity to learn from the best artists within the industry to improve my skills.”

Sungura king Alick Macheso, Enzol Ishall, Delroy Shewe and Oriyano also performed on the big stage.

Macheso confirmed his status as the sungura maestro with a top-drawer performance that left the thousands in awe as his guitar skills and dancers rocked the stage.

However, Oriyano fans felt short changed after his stunt went wrong.

This was supposed to be his moment, a debut performance to remember and a proper icing on the cake but he chose the wrong playlist.

Despite dressing up for the occasion, Oriyano withheld his energy for some reason and gave fans a lukewarm stage presence.

He sang songs like ‘Makarima Mupoto’, ‘Ndakuda’, ‘Ganza.’
