ZIMBABWEAN choreographer Nissi Nyamayaro is on cloud nine.

Popularly known by his moniker Nixxi Thecodebreaker, the 26-year-old has celebrated a major career milestone after creating the official dance choreography for Winky D’s hit song ‘One Big Party’. The talented dancer expressed excitement after the official video was released, describing the opportunity as the fulfilment of a dream that started with faith, passion and dedication to his craft. Nyamayaro said working with Winky D was an honour and thanked the award-winning musician for believing in his vision.

“It is an honour to have choreographed the official dance video for One Big Party.

“I want to thank Winky D, for trusting me to translate what began as a humming whisper in your ears into movement that speaks to the hearts of the Gafa Nation,” he said.

He explained that every dance move was carefully designed to reflect the spirit of the song while making it easy for fans to participate.

“Every step was crafted to match the soul of the music and create a body language that every fan can connect with. I wanted people to feel the music through movement and celebrate together,” said Nyamayaro. The choreographer also reflected on his personal journey, saying the project was proof that dreams can become reality through perseverance.“I give thanks to God for these manifestations that started as only dreams.

“History was made when a dance challenge evolved into the official choreography, proving that creativity can become culture.”

Nyamayaro added that he hopes the dance will continue bringing people together wherever the song is played. “May these moves continue to unite us in celebration. I am grateful to everyone who believed in the vision and supported this journey,” he said. Entertainment followers have praised him for the achievement, saying it highlights the growing recognition of Zimbabwean choreographers in the local music industry.

One fan, Tanya Moyo, said Nyamayaro deserved the recognition after years of consistently producing quality dance content.

“Nissi has always been creative. Seeing his work become the official choreography for a Winky D song is inspiring for every young dancer in Zimbabwe,” she said. Another fan, Trevor Chari, said the dance routine perfectly complements the energy of the song. “The choreography is simple, exciting and something everyone can learn. That’s exactly what makes a dance challenge successful,” he said. Natasha Dube also hailed Nyamayaro.

“This is a big win not only for him but for us his followers. “He has shown that talent and hard work can open big doors,” she said.

Kudakwashe Mlambo said the collaboration demonstrates how dance has become an important part of promoting music.  “Today, a hit song is incomplete without a memorable dance challenge.  Nissi has created something that fans will remember for a long time,” he said.

With the official choreography now accompanying ‘One Big Party’, Nyamayaro’s achievement marks another memorable chapter in Zimbabwe’s entertainment industry, further cementing his reputation as one of the country’s rising choreographers while giving fans fresh moves to celebrate one of Winky D’s biggest songs.
