SOUTH Africa-based urban contemporary singer Enock “Nox” Guni is setting his sights on major collaborations with prominent African stars.

The 42-year-old, known for his charm and musical prowess, has already made an impact in South Africa

He is now eager to connect with artists from both the sub-region and West Africa to expand his musical horizons.

Guni aims to blend diverse musical styles and cultures, enriching his sound and reaching a wider audience.

“In 2026, we are working on penetrating Africa, and that can be successfully done through collaborations with top stars,” he said.

“Of course, I will be dropping singles here and there but, for now, we want to conquer Africa and see how it goes.

“Among the stars we have identified is Nasty C, who has already confirmed my collaboration with him.

“There are several artists from Tanzania, Mozambique and Nigeria with whom I am planning to collaborate as part of my plan.”

Guni also hailed his South African fans for embracing him after collaborating with DJ Tira on the track “Stay With Me” and Master KG on the song “My Melody” in recent years.

Despite his breakthrough in South Africa where he commands respect, Nox told Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub that he would not rest on his laurels.

“To be honest with you, I will keep pushing until I become one of Africa’s biggest stars before conquering the world.

“I always set my standards high, and I don’t want to lose sight of my goals in my quest to succeed musically,” he said.

The singer, who is celebrating 24 years in the industry, is optimistic about making Zimbabwe proud. “Twenty-four years of serious music in the industry is a major milestone that I will always cherish.

“As I reflect on this long journey, I see God’s favour, and it is my wish to continue working hard and shining out there.”

A gifted songwriter, choreographer, and composer, Nox is one of the finest Zimbabwean stars who has settled well in South Africa.

Buoyed by his powerful songwriting techniques, Nox is renowned for his love songs that resonate well with several couples. With the singer eyeing major collaborations, the future looks bright for him. “We now leave everything to God and we are beginning a new chapter in life, which is likely to open new doors for us.

“With the help of my team, I am looking forward to exciting times ahead in 2026, which has started on a high note.

“I have always wanted to grow and conquer the region, and I am glad that I am fulfilling that dream of mine.

“New stuff including ‘I Choose You,’ which drops next week, is coming. We are also working on visuals to complement my audios.”
