THE heavyweight musical mega show featuring Jah Prayzah and Winky will be a massive boost for the growth of the country’s entertainment scene and its downstream industries.
Swan Valley Group Managing Director, Ushe Mutemwa, said shows like the “One Big Party” concert at the Harare International Conference Centre on December 31 are important for the industry’s ecosystem.
“Our initiatives have not only provided a platform for artists to gain exposure but also contributed to the country’s economic growth,” said Mutemwa.
“We believe in the immense potential of Zimbabwe’s creative industry.
“Our goal is to empower artists and provide them with the necessary resources to succeed, ultimately contributing to the country’s economic development.”
The show will also feature the likes of Kurai Makore, Killer T, Chill Master and Feli Nandi.
Show promoter Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza hinted on a potential Winky D and Jah Prayzah collaboration on the night of the show.
“One can never know but watch out for something from the two artists.
“Having Winky D and Jah Prayzah perform on the same stage is something fans have long been waiting for.
“We have just delivered what many people have been itching for.”
Chipaz added:
“Collaborations show unity and the artists complement each other.
“Convincing the two artistss was easy because we have always worked well with both camps.
“To me, it is like any other event I have organised.”
The appeal of the show has been enhanced by the fact that both Jah Prayzah and Winky D are currently drawing massive crowds.
