Otis Ngwabi ropes in Sikhosana Buhlungu, Cammelita on new single

South Africa-based seasoned Afro-Pop musician Otis Ngwabi has returned to the music scene with a vibrant new collaboration featuring Nkayi-bred folklore musician Sikhosana Buhlungu and songstress Cammelita on a single titled Siphilasonke.

Released on May 28, the track is a fusion of Urban Grooves and House music blended with traditional acoustic guitar and soulful Ndebele vocal melodies. The song features live acoustic guitar instrumentation by Sikhosana, layered over contemporary production crafted by Ngwabi’s FAC Productions.

Siphilasonke carries a powerful message of unity, peace, and social harmony, encouraging communities to live together in love and understanding.

Ngwabi said working with Sikhosana was inspiring and entertaining.
“Working with uBaba uSikhosana was a very humble yet fun experience because he is a creative who truly knows what he is doing and is also full of jokes. We were laughing throughout the recording session,” said Ngwabi.

The collaboration is expected to excite music lovers who appreciate the fusion of modern Afro sounds with authentic traditional influences.
