Over 2 257 Zimbabweans repatriated from South Africa

A total of 2 257 Zimbabweans have been transported from the Beitbridge Reception Centre to their respective homes as Government intensifies efforts to repatriate citizens returning from South Africa.

According to a Situation Report (SITREP) on the Repatriation and Reintegration of Zimbabwean Citizens from the Republic of South Africa, dated 09 July 2026, the returnees were transported to six provinces using 39 buses, with Manicaland receiving the highest number of returnees.

“A total of 2 257 returnees were transported from the Beitbridge Reception Centre to Six (6) Provinces using 39 bus trips, while 25 buses carrying returnees arrived from South Africa,” reads the document.
