OVER 60 doctors have been honoured for their exceptional standards in life-saving treatment.
The group includes physicians, urologists, obstetricians and gynecologists, neuro surgeons, neonatologists, cardio-thoracic surgeons, oncologists, paediatricians, oral and facial surgeons, general surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, casualty officers, and anesthetists, among others.
They were honoured during the fifth edition of the Avenues Clinic Doctors Appreciation Cocktail in Harare. Several patients shared emotional accounts of how different doctors saved their lives.
The event celebrated survival and featured emotional testimonies detailing the doctors’ efforts in patient care. One patient expressed her gratitude towards doctor Gift Ngwende, a physician, for his life-saving intervention.
“The treatment went well during my brother’s five-day admission,” she said.
“I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Ngwende and his team.
“You were a very compassionate human being.
“You listened to us, understood our situation, and embraced us as if we had known you for a long time.”
