OXFORD STUDY CENTRE RECORDS 100 PERCENT A-LEVEL PASS RATE

OXFORD Study Centre has once again demonstrated academic excellence after recording a 100% pass rate in the recently released ZIMSEC A-Level results.

The school has set a new benchmark for learning institutions operating under challenging environments.

The achievement is particularly noteworthy given that the school deliberately enrols average and below-average learners.

Many of the students come from environments affected by drug and substance abuse, social instability, and limited access to academic resources.

Despite these constraints, Oxford Study Centre continues to transform potential into performance through discipline, consistency, and targeted learner support.

Top achievers include Nyanguru Tanaka and RuvarasheKananji (Junior Councillor), who both attained 20 points.

They were followed by Samson Mugabe (Headboy) and Chirikwawo Tinemufaro (Prefect), with 15 points each.

Strong performances were also recorded by Muzanenhamo Michael, Julius Kadzirange, Mukonori Casey, and Saukani Jaymie (14 points), Tauya Anesu and Mafuruse Leeroy (Vice Headboy) (13 points), as well as Nisher Mukanganise, Chipo Samanyahwe, and Loveness Dongeni (12 points).

The Principal, Mr Thanks Nyamusa, highlighted the significance of these impressive results.

“These results are proof that background does not define destiny.

“Our learners come from environments filled with distractions and social challenges but, with structure, commitment and belief, they can excel.”

The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tatenda Kadenge, noted the broader impact of the success:

“Operating with limited resources in a high-risk community makes this achievement even more meaningful.

“We have shown that quality education is possible anywhere when there is vision, sacrifice and an unwavering focus on learners.”

Despite infrastructural and material limitations, Oxford Study Centre has maintained high academic standards, reinforcing its mission to provide accessible, transformative education. The centre’s performance stands as a powerful example of how schools embedded in marginalised communities can still produce excellence.
