PROGRESS Chipfumo might not be among Zimbabwe’s top earners, but his guitar lines are hard to ignore.
After years of being snubbed by the corporate world, despite his immense talent, he strongly believes that patience and consistency pay.
This comes after his inclusion in the line-up set to perform at the 66th Castle Tankard horse racing event, scheduled for this Saturday at Borrowdale Race Course.
The biggest show of the weekend in Harare will also be headlined by Alick Macheso.
Nisha Ts, Madidedo, Jah Master, and Uncle Epaton are also part of the line-up.
“I was humbled by the invitation to perform at this year’s Castle Tankard, which happens to be our first time,” said Chipfumo.
“As a group, we are ready for the big one, and our quest is to ensure that we give attendees value for their money.
“We are always ready to perform at any given show and any given time.
“As for this one, we are simply promising to deliver to our best of abilities.”
He added:
“Preparation-wise, we are more than ready for the day, and we can assure our fans that we are going to have fun together,” he said.
Zimdancehall chanter Madidedo, who emerged through the Harare Cup Clash, is now starting to reap the rewards for his hard work and consistency. Energetic chanter Uncle Epaton will be out to prove he is no one-hit wonder, as he has demonstrated over the years.
