ZANU PF will convene its 395th Ordinary Session of the Politburo today to deliberate on key party and national issues, with preparations for the 23rd Annual National People’s Conference in Chinhoyi also expected to be on the agenda.

The ruling party’s secretary for Information and Publicity, Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa, confirmed the meeting in a statement.

“The secretary-general of Zanu PF, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, advises members of the 395th Ordinary Session of the Politburo to be held this Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10am,” reads the statement.

The meeting will be held at Zanu PF Headquarters in Harare, with all Politburo members expected to be seated by 9.45am, said Ambassador Mutsvangwa.

Besides reviewing preparations for the forthcoming National People’s Conference, the Politburo is expected to assess the implementation of ongoing development programmes and reaffirm the party’s commitment to advancing national development objectives.

The Politburo also comes as the party’s provincial structures are conducting inter-district meetings to verify cell structures before they begin setting up branch structures.
