President Mnangagwa heads to Qatar for Second World Summit for Social Development

President Mnangagwa has departed for Doha, Qatar, where he will attend the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2).

The Summit, organised by the United Nations, seeks to renew the commitment to social development and accelerate progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to ensure that no one is left behind.

It also seeks to identify and address gaps in social development, including poverty eradication, full employment, and social inclusion.

The Summit will strengthen global partnerships and promote inclusive policies that foster equitable opportunities for all.

President Mnangagwa was seen off at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by Vice President Dr Kembo Mohadi, Minister of Defence Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere, Service Chiefs, and other senior Government officials.
