VICTORIOUS Family Church International leader, Prophet Kudakwashe Jose, has demonstrated his deep appreciation for Zimdancehall by providing two residential stands as prizes for the overall winners of the 2025 Harare Cup Clash contest.

This high-stakes contest takes place on the final day of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.

In previous years, new stars have emerged, typcially receiving only trophies and financial rewards.

However, this year’s edition promises to ignite a lyrical battle, with two residential stands, each measuring 400 square metres, up for grabs.

In an interview with Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub, Prophet Jose, who is making headlines for his investment in Zimdancehall, confirmed that these exciting prizes are indeed available for the winners.

He also clarified why they decided to empower the winners of the 2025 Cup Clash with residential stands.

“Our goal is to empower and send our message: ‘Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Jesus.’

“The Cup Clash is the biggest gathering for young people, and we saw it as the right platform to capture their attention,” said Prophet Jose.

“By giving away stands, we are creating an opportunity to be heard while spreading an urgent message against drug abuse. As a church, we are also launching drug awareness campaigns and opening rehabilitation centres across Harare after August 31, 2025. We want young dancehall stars themselves to inspire others to reject drugs and choose a better life in Christ.

“Each stand measures 400 square meters and is located in Chitungwiza Manyame Park, a developing area with essential amenities. We are giving one stand to a male artist and another to a female artist to reinforce the message of empowerment.

“During the Cup Clash event itself, the theme will remain ‘Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Jesus.’ We want to empower the young and help them desist from drug and substance abuse,” he said.

He also explained how he feels about being associated with the Zimdancehall brand, which has been uplifted by several promoters like Red Rose Promotions and Chipaz Promotions, along with fellow presenters in the league, including Godfatha Templeman, Eterton Beenie and Merciless Zimbabwe.

“If you recall, Jesus walked among all kinds of people to show love and compassion. In the same way, I cannot stand by and watch our generation being destroyed by drugs – I must go where they are. Zimdancehall is a culture that influences millions of young people and, through Chipaz Promotions, our message can reach them effectively.

“By partnering with these platforms, our voice against drug abuse will be amplified and will have a real impact.”

He added:

“I do not look at people through labels. Every artist is a soul with potential, and my calling is to love, not to judge. Working with them gives me an opportunity to bring hope, empowerment, and transformation.

“Just as Jesus engaged with people in their own environments, I believe in reaching young people where they are so they can see a better path – away from drugs and towards Christ,” he said.

Cup Clash coordinator, Jack Radics, confirmed their partnership with Prophet Jose.

“It’s quite encouraging to have organisations like churches recognising the potential of young people and investing in them, as is the case in this year’s Cup Clash contest.

“For us organisers, it’s encouraging to see church organisations coming on board to preach the same message discouraging drug and substance abuse.

“It’s even a plus for them, as they are fully utilising this platform to spread the positive message. This is what we have been yearning for over the years as organisers.”
