PROTON Bakers has reaffirmed its commitment to rewarding good work ethics and culture among its workers, a development that is meant to motivate the staff towards achieving the company’s goal of being the best of the best.

In an interview during the Bulawayo Depot Merit and Long Service Awards on Thursday, Proton Bakers managing director Mr. Spiros Tselentis said that after achieving the goal of being the best, the company must reward the workers who are behind the initiative.

“The main reason why we are having these awards is to reward good effort and the work culture that we like at Proton,” said Mr Tselentis.

“We always strive as enshrined in our values to do the best of the best in everything that we do, so we must reward that as well once we achieve it.”

Mr Tselentis said Proton is currently looking to consolidate what it has done as a company, which is the major aim for the coming year.

“We are also looking to improve our quality and our efficiencies,” added Mr Tselentis.

He added that having established itself in Bulawayo is one of the biggest company achievements, saying that local people have accepted them and are proud to be part of the community.
