Relebogile Mabotja reclaims her soulful roots with ‘Still Me – Live’

In 2025, media icon Relebogile Mabotja celebrated her 40th birthday by releasing her debut EP, “Still Me”. Now, she is stripping those songs down to their core with a raw, new live version.

While the original EP introduced us to Mabotja’s vulnerable side, “Still Me Live” takes that emotional honesty even further.

“Returning back to self is a journey I didn’t expect to be so challenging yet so fulfilling. The themes in ‘Still Me Live’ are rooted in love, vulnerability, gratitude, and the understanding that none of this happens without God and those that came before us,” she shares.

She describes the process of finding peace through the chaos of growth: “Healing can be messy and ugly, but this live offering shows that it can be grounding, affirming, loving and peaceful.

“With the support of family that keeps me grounded and God that has granted me grace, I am constantly reminded of why I do what I do. This live recording is a reminder that within us is the untainted purest of love that we get to remember and still be.”

Recorded with a full live band, this version allows the project’s jazz, soul, gospel and R&B roots to truly shine.

The live energy adds a new layer of depth to fan favourites like “Still Me”, “I’ll Find My Way” and “Mmamogoai’s Prayer”.

Though the project is deeply personal, Mabotja hopes the music resonates with anyone who listens: “This project is for me. But I hope those who’ve followed my journey, and those discovering me now, find pieces of themselves in it too. The music will live, and it will find its people. And that’s what excites me the most.”

“Still Me Live” is available on all major streaming platforms – IOL.
