WARD 25 Highfield Councillor Jane Bhingari on Friday held the ward’s feedback and pre-budget consultative meeting, with residents raising service delivery concerns.
The meeting, held at Zimbabwe Hall in Highfield, focused on issues including water pipe replacement, road maintenance, title deeds, development control, council levies, revenue collection and the Community Health Equity Fund (CHEF).
Residents called on council to introduce affordable monthly payment plans for council bills and review rates charged on buildings at Machipisa Shopping Centre.
Residents living behind Mbizi Primary School also requested council to provide a borehole to improve access to water.
The meeting was supported by Ward 24 Highfield Councillor Lovemore Makuwerere and Women’s Quota Councillor Angeline Dube.
