IN an article entitled, “Research Council of Zimbabwe executive director Dr Patson Chikudza recalled”, published in yesterday’s online edition of The Herald, we incorrectly attributed confirmation of Dr Chikudza’s recall to Mrs Rudo Tamangani, the Finance and Administration Manager at the Research Council of Zimbabwe.
The recall was confirmed by Mr Edwin Mtotela, Acting Executive Director of the Research Council of Zimbabwe.
However, Mr Mtotela did not confirm the allegations reportedly leading to the recall, as suggested in the story.
The Herald regrets the misattribution and any inconvenience or reputational harm caused to Mrs Tamangani, the Research Council of Zimbabwe and other parties concerned.
