THERE was drama at Town House yesterday after suspected juju rituals were allegedly conducted outside the office and parking bay of newly-appointed Harare City Council chamber secretary, Warren Chiwawa.
Mr Chiwawa was appointed the city chamber secretary on February 2.
Early on Tuesday morning, some council employees arriving for work, were greeted with the sight of a dead bird and a handful of peanuts scattered at his designated parking bay.
But that was not all.
A short distance away, cat faeces were smeared on the door of Chiwawa’s office, a combination that quickly set tongues wagging among workers who suspected it could be linked to some juju rituals.
Chiwawa himself confirmed the unusual developments.
“Someone has been performing black magic at my office and car park bay since last week.
“It is scary,” he said.
A witness told H-Metro.
“I was shocked to see a dead bird and some peanuts inside Mr Chiwawa’s parking bay when I arrived at Town House on Monday morning.
“It was the only bay that had such a thing.
“It was really frightening.
“I don’t know what is happening but things seem bad. As someone who was just passing by, I took a picture because I was so surprised.”
Inside the building, news related to the suspicious items quickly spread through offices and corridors.
“People are shaken. These are not things you see every day, especially in a professional environment,” said one employee, who requested anonymity.
Another worker, who helped to clear the strange items, described how they handled the situation.
“We sprinkled salt on the faeces, the dead bird and the peanuts before flushing them down a drain,” the worker said.
Since then, the incident has become the talk of Town House.
Some workers are quietly speculating about who could be behind this strange act and what the real intention might be.
For a building used for Council meetings, this eerie discovery has added an unusual layer of mystery.
And while the items may have been removed, the questions remain.
Who placed them there?
And, why?
For now, the corridors of Town House remain filled with whispers, and a lingering sense that the story might not be over yet.

This is absolute rubbish, primitive and retrogressive thinking. With people believing in such trash, this country will never move forward.
