RIVALRY REVELRY

IT IS the great British boxing family rivalry. And the latest instalment takes place this Saturday night.

Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn, the rematch.

Eubank claimed a dramatic victory in their long-awaited first showdown back in April with a thrilling bout in a contender for fight of the year – 35 years after their dads Chris and Nigel initially faced off. And now the sons are ready to do it all again under the bright lights of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There is no doubting the intense animosity and bitterness between the two fighters.

But away from the ring, they do lead rather similar lives…

FAMILY MEN

Naturally, both men were born into wealth thanks to their dads’ successes.

Eubank Jr plus siblings Emily, Sebastian and Joseph grew up in a £4million Brighton mansion.

But when their dad filed for bankruptcy in 2009, he sold the pad and they moved into a flat above a nursery.

Chris Jr then relocated to Las Vegas with Sebastian, who sadly died in 2021, to advance his career and then came back to the UK to turn pro in 2011 and has now begun to reconcile with his father.

And just days before the big rematch, he revealed to his father that he was to become a father to TWINS in an emotional sit-down interview. Posting the clip on Instagram, Eubank Jr said: “So yes many of you guessed it.

“I will soon be joining the dad gang. Only difference is I’ll joining as a father of two! Twin boys!!”

As for Benn, his dad’s fortune meant he was raised in an eight-bedroom Majorca villa with a pool and even a jacuzzi in his room.

But Nigel instilled a work ethic in his son from an early age and he grafted as a painter and decorator in Spain, making just €20 a day.

The Benn family headed to Sydney, where Conor began his amateur boxing career then, like his nemesis Eubank Jr, he moved back to the UK, going professional in 2016.

Benn, 29, has two children with his author and influencer wife Victoria son Eli was born in 2021 before daughter Idony Susanna arrived three years later.

Eubank Jr, meanwhile, has helped raise his nephew Raheem following Sebastian’s sad death.

HOLIDAYS & HOMES

Between them, they have lived in the UK, Spain, America and Australia.

And they can tick off plenty more countries with their various lavish holidays in between training camps.

Eubank Jr, 36, owns a £4m, five-bed beachfront villa in Dubai and splits his time between the south coast of England and the Middle East.

He put his stunning four-bed Hove pad on the market in 2024 only accepting offers in excess of £1.8m. The house features a swimming pool, fingerprint security entry, modern bathrooms and even some slightly quirky furniture.

Benn is based in Essex with Victoria and the kids but they also have a place in Spain, too. He went to Beverly Hills in June to soak up the sun and recover from the April defeat.

And no doubt both men will reward themselves with some downtime abroad over the festive season following the November rematch.

TRAVELLING IN STYLE

And they will probably go on those holidays on private jets.

Although neither boxer is thought to own their own plane, they have made no secret of the fact that they regularly rent aircraft out for their trips.

What they do own, though, is a remarkable collection of epic cars. Benn’s prized possession was his £260,000 Rolls-Royce Wraith – until he bought a new £280k Cullinan model this year.

He has also had a £125k Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG wrapped in gold and a £110k Porsche 911 Carrera 4Safter his dad Nigel had a version in the 1990s.

The Porsche boasts the personalised number plate ‘KO13 ENN’ and he refers to it as his “weekend car”.

Eubank Jr has driven plenty of special motors over the years a black £215,000 Lamborghini Huracan, a £116,000 BMWi8, a £178,000 red Ferrari 458, a £164,000 Mercedes-Benz G63, a £115,000 Range Rover Urban SVR and a £240,000 Bentley Mansory GT Race.

But the one he loves the most is his personalised McLaren 720S worth approximately £210,000, modified by Mansory and completed with his ‘EU13 ANK’ plate. Sun.
