The Royal Pact Debate Academy (RPDA) has once again affirmed its dominance on the African debating stage after clinching three accolades at the Africa Debater of the Year Awards held on December 6 at the Johannesburg City Council Chambers in South Africa.

Represented by debaters Raymond Moyo, Sharlean Mushayi and Banqobi Xaba, RPDA walked away with the Baobab Mentorship Award and the Sankofa Debate Architect Award, solidifying its reputation as one of the continent’s leading debate institutions.

Head coach Maison Maphosa also shone individually after being honoured with the Hakuna Matata Discourse Award.

Maphosa said receiving three accolades at such a prestigious platform was a testament to the impactful work RPDA continues to do in nurturing young debaters across Africa.

He dedicated his personal award to his assistant coaches and the academy’s technical team for consistently upholding the organisation’s core values and ensuring they are fully imparted to the learners under their guidance.
