On November 29, Mystique Gardens in Bulawayo will come alive again as HiNDE, the city’s rising Afro-house event, returns for its 7th edition, headlined by Jazzworx and Thukuthela.

The powerhouse pair, celebrated for blending Amapiano and 3-step dance house, have become a force in the region’s music scene. Their polished, groove-packed sound is topping The Official SA Charts and dominating streaming platforms, making them a perfect fit for HiNDE’s vibrant and eclectic atmosphere.

Since its launch in 2021, HiNDE has grown beyond a typical night out, establishing itself as a platform where local and international DJs share the stage. Early editions introduced audiences to a mix of home-grown talent and global sounds, positioning HiNDE as a cultural bridge in Bulawayo’s house music scene.

The brand’s Harare debut last year drew praise from local media, which described it as “an Afro-house nirvana”. Previous line-ups have included names like Nitefreak, Ryan Synth, Samuel Cosmic, Asante Mo, DJ Jewz, and Slim T, blending familiar selectors with fresh talent at every edition.

What sets HiNDE apart is its careful curation and consistent branding. Each edition features unique themes, while maintaining continuity that builds anticipation. This year, the poster is styled like a newspaper headline, and the tiered ticketing system, from general admission to exclusive Golden Circle access, ensures layered experiences for different audiences.

As HiNDE grows, the focus is no longer on whether the brand can sustain itself, but how far it can expand, potentially into other cities, larger festivals, and regional collaborations across Southern Africa.
