SADC Ministers of Transport, ICT, Information and Meteorology meet

SADC Ministers of Transport, ICT, Information and Meteorology are meeting in Harare to receive feedback on the deliberations made during the ongoing Ministerial Cluster meeting.
Zimbabwe is hosting the SADC Ministerial meeting focusing on transport, infrastructure, ICT and meteorology, which aims to review progress on programmes supporting regional integration.
The meeting started on Monday and ends today.
Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Felix Mhona, who is also the chairperson of the Joint Committee of Ministers responsible for Transport, ICT, Information and Meteorology is attending the meeting.
Ms Angèle Makombo N’tumba, the SADC Deputy Executive Secretary responsible for Regional Integration, senior officials from the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Dr Tatenda Mavetera, Permanent Secretaries and their regional counterparts are also attending the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Minister Mhona said, “Our gathering today is not just a formality but a significant step towards enhancing regional integration and cooperation.
“The sectors under our purview, that is transport, ICT, information and meteorology, are critical enablers of socio-economic development, and their inter-linkages are vital for achieving our collective aspirations as the SADC region.”
