SADC PF concludes Plenary Assembly

The 57th SADC Parliamentary Forum Plenary Assembly being held in the City of Victoria Falls ends this Friday following week-long deliberations.

The Plenary Assembly was held under the theme “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for effective and efficient parliamentary processes in the SADC Region:Experiences, challenges and opportunities.”

A summit on AI that was addressed by experts from the country’s universities was also held.

Member States agreed to craft common laws and policies to promote and regulate the use of AI.

The Plenary also discussed issues that include food security in the region, climate and combating the spread to HIV and Aids, among others.
