AFRO musician, Sarah Dee is set to perform in Botswana on August 30 at the Old Classic ‘Panstola’ Festival.
This marks the second time the musician has performed outside Zimbabwe’s boarders following her return from the cultural exchange festival in Japan last month.
She is set to share the stage with Slindile from South Africa and Rakops Original Pantshola.
In an interview with H-Metro, Sarah said this has been her prayer for 23 years in the industry.
“This is a great opportunity for me as I will be sharing the stage with one of the hardest working female artists in South Africa.
“It’s a great honour and I thank those that recognise my efforts from afar and pave way for me to go beyond boarders.
“It shows that they really trust and believe in my brand and now it’s my time to harvest.
“I have been in the industry for over 20 years, and Japan was my first performance outside my mother’s land and now I’m headed for Botswana.
“Indeed, God’s time is the best,” said Sarah.
She also called for local female artists to continue being visible through their work and stand their ground in the male dominated industry.
“As the president for Divas In Action Zimbabwe, I urge all women in music to be consistent and put love in your work.
“We must support each other as we rise together.
“Never be intimated by men in the industry we can achieve as much as they have the goal is always to rise together,” said Sarah.
