The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has reminded all schools and examination centres that the deadline for registering candidates for the November 2026 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations is March 27, 2026.

In a communique, the ministry’s director of communications and advocacy, Mr Taungana Ndoro, urged heads of centres to ensure that all candidates are registered through the online registration system before the deadline.

“All centres must use the online registration system and heads of centres bear full responsibility for the accurate submission of candidate data,” he said.

Mr Ndoro said examination centres are required to have a minimum of 10 candidates at both Ordinary and Advanced Level.

He said private candidates must present valid identification documents during registration.

“Private candidates must present valid identification documents such as a national identity card, passport, driver’s licence or a certified birth certificate,” Mr Ndoro said.

He said special needs candidates should have their requirements clearly indicated during the registration process to ensure appropriate arrangements are made.

Mr Ndoro also said candidates must verify their details before submission.

“Candidates must verify and sign off on their registration details before submission,” he said.

Mr Ndoro said no results would be issued to candidates who fail to sit for all learning area components of their registered subjects.

He cautioned schools against engaging in unethical practices when registering candidates.

“The ministry warns against unethical practices such as registering school candidates as private candidates to manipulate pass rates.”

Mr Ndoro said such conduct is a breach of examination regulations and attracts serious consequences.
