SCOTTLAND fell to defeat to the Eswatini champions in this international friendly at Somhlolo National Stadium last night.

The home side gave their president, Derrick Shiba, a perfect birthday present with this win.

Not even the wholesome half-time changes could spark the visitors into life in their bid to get something out of the game.

Daniel Okunrinmenta scored in the 19th minute and Yekisizwe Khumalo’s 58th minute strike gave the hosts the insurance goals.

Mapeza rang the changes at the break and brought in the likes of Knowledge Musona and Godknows Murwira and the visitors improved.

Despite the defeat, Mapeza said he was happy with the minutes his men got in this game as they continue their pre-season preparations outside Zimbabwe.

Scottland are now in their third week of preseason.

Such is the serious attachment they are giving to these preparations that some fans even flew from Harare for this friendly match.

Former Nsingizini star and Eswatini international. Kwakhe Thwala, started for Scotland FC against his former side.
