OLIVINE Industries has appointed reigning Miss Universe Zimbabwe queen Lyshanda Moyas as its new brand ambassador.

The move is aimed at strengthening its connection with households while appealing to a younger generation of consumers.

The appointment, announced on Monday, marked a new chapter for one of Zimbabwe’s most enduring household brands whose products have for decades been staples in homes across the country.

Olivine spokesperson, Sylvester Dendere, said the partnership speaks to the company’s heritage and commitment to the communities it serves.

“Olivine has always been about more than just products — it is about the role we play in people’s lives and the memories we help create,” he said.

“Lyshanda embodies many of the values we hold dear: care for community, pride in our country and a commitment to making a difference. We are thrilled to welcome her into the Olivine family.”

Dendere said the partnership celebrates its enduring legacy while positioning the brand for the future, as it seeks to remain relevant in a competitive consumer market.

Olivine remains one of the country’s best-known household brands, with products ranging from cooking oil and margarine to laundry soap.

Lyshanda, who was crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 at a glittering ceremony in Harare last May, has become one of the country’s most recognisable public figures after representing the country on the global stage.

Beyond the glamour of pageantry, she has also earned respect for her philanthropic work, particularly her advocacy for teenage mothers and disadvantaged communities.

Speaking on the appointment, Lyshanda said the partnership was deeply personal.

“Olivine products were always part of our kitchen when I was growing up,” she said.

“Some of my fondest memories are of cooking with my mother and grandmother. To now represent a brand that has been part of so many Zimbabwean homes is truly special for me.”

As brand ambassador, she is expected to spearhead a series of campaigns, community outreach programmes and brand engagements that underscore Olivine’s commitment to quality, heritage and social impact.
