Wife dies ‘due to mubobobo’ torment

In a shocking incident, an elderly man from Cowdray Park in Bulawayo confessed to using a sex charm (mubobobo) on his wife, who subsequently died.

The charm, it is believed, enables a man to have sex remotely with a woman.

The victim may experience physical sensations associated with intercourse, but there is no actual physical contact between the victim and the perpetrator.

The man, whose identity is protected, made the chilling revelation during a church service led by a popular Bulawayo prophet. He admitted to seeking help from a traditional healer after suspecting his wife of infidelity.

The traditional healer then provided him with mubobobo, a type of charm believed to have magical powers.

Tragically, the woman died under mysterious circumstances and the man now believes the mubobobo is tormenting him. He claims to experience terrifying supernatural encounters, including feeling as if mysterious creatures are being intimate with him as he sleeps.

Overwhelmed by fear and remorse, the man publicly renounced the use of sex charms, warning others about the dangers of such practices.

Female teachers sexually tormented

Female teachers and the wives of some teachers at Malala Primary School in Limulunga district, Zambia, are experiencing disturbing incidents believed to be acts of black magic.

These occurrences are disrupting the school’s academic programme.

Deputy head teacher Mubiana Siiya revealed that the affected individuals have woken up with unexplained tattoos and shaved private parts.

Members of the community have also discovered what they believe to be black magic, in the form of faecal matter on the school premises.

These incidents have caused significant distress among the teachers, negatively affecting their sleep and ability to effectively teach. The school’s literacy progression has suffered as a result.

In response, the district commissioner and the district education board held a meeting with the community to address the issue. However, the attacks continued, with the wife of a newly deployed teacher becoming the latest victim.

When asked about the teachers’ views, Siiya said they had requested transfers rather than seeking spiritual guidance.

Limulunga district commissioner Lutangu Lutangu expressed concern over the situation, emphasising its negative impact on teachers, learners and the government’s educational goals.

Reverend Daniel Nawa of Limulunga Living Word Church International offered the church’s support, suggesting spiritual intervention as a potential solution. — Wires

Evil neighbour’s reign of terror

The Pretoria High Court has continued its trial of Raymond Mkanzi, accused of a series of heinous crimes.

Mkanzi, from Skierlik in Pienaarspoort, faces charges of kidnapping, aggravated robbery, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, sexual assault, rape and murder.

The case stems from allegations that Mkanzi raped his neighbour, and later dumped the body parts of a murdered man outside her home.

The neighbour discovered two severed fingers, an ear and a blood-stained note after the rape.

Mkanzi listened as the judge summarised the case.

The prosecution alleges that on October 15, 2019, Mkanzi accompanied his neighbour and her friend to East Lynne to collect some money. After alighting from a train at the Silverton station, he allegedly led them to a secluded location.

He then allegedly raped the neighbour and assaulted the friend.

He allegedly held the women captive overnight, threatening them with a screwdriver-like object.

Mkanzi is said to have also stolen their belongings, including cellphones, bank cards and money.

The neighbour managed to escape and alerted the community, who subsequently demolished Mkanzi’s shack. Despite being released after 48 hours in custody, Mkanzi allegedly demanded the reconstruction of his shack.

On November 5, 2019, the victim found a box containing human body parts and a threatening note on her doorstep.

The remains were later identified as
being those of Dean Phillip Brendon Sampson, whom Mkanzi is accused of having
murdered.

Mkanzi was subsequently arrested by the community and assaulted before being taken into police custody.

However, he maintains his innocence, claiming to be a victim framed by his neighbour and an accomplice named Thabiso.

Mkanzi presented an alternative narrative, suggesting a consensual relationship with the victim and implying her involvement in a criminal enterprise.

The trial continues. — B-Metro
