Sonja Madzikanda,mother to spend another night in custody, bail ruling tomorrow

Businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s ex-wife, Sonja Louise Madzikanda, and her mother, Tabitha Madzikanda, have appeared in court for contravening cyber laws.

They appeared before Harare magistrate, Ms Nyaradzo Manokore.

The pair’s lawyer, Mr Rungano Mahuni, said his clients are denying the charges.

He argued that there were no compelling reasons not to grant them bail.

The magistrate defered the matter to tomorrow for bail ruling so that she would make an informed decision.
