A number of high profile coaches have been linked with the Scottland job following the surprise departure of championship winning coach, Tonderai Ndiraya.
Names like Norman Mapeza, Callisto Pasuwa and Michael Nees were the early candidates on social media while the club remained mum on the next coach.
Even Kelvin Kaindu’s name has been thrown into the ring amid reports that his stay at Dynamos beyond this season has not been settled.
Scottland stunned the local football fraternity by announcing Ndiraya’s departure. “Scottland Football Club wishes to confirm that the club and head coach, Tonderai Ndiraya have reached a mutual agreement of not renewing his contract, which concludes at the end of this season.
“We would like to express our sincere appreciation for his commitment, professionalism and service during his time with the club.
‘‘His contribution and dedication to the team have been highly valued and we extend our gratitude for the role he has played in the growth and development of our players.
‘‘He led Scottland to a historic league title on debut Premier Soccer League season, earning us a ticket into the CAF Champions League.
“We wish him great success in his future endeavours and we confident that he will continue to excel in his coaching career.”
