STEPDAD ROMANCE FIASCO! Plumtree man’s bizarre love bid for teen stepdaughter leaves village talking

A PLUMTREE magistrate was left shell-shocked after Trust Chinandoro (34) from Ingwizi pulled off what some are calling the most unAfrican proposal of the year — to his own 17-year-old stepdaughter.

Chinandoro appeared this week before Joshua Nembaware after he allegedly declared his love for his stepdaughter, Grace Ngwenya, at her homestead in Matiwana Village, Mphoengs. Grace, unsurprisingly, said no.

But Chinandoro apparently didn’t get the memo that in families, proposals aren’t supposed to happen.
Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi told the court that during November 2025, Chinandoro made his unusual romantic move. Later, he confronted Grace again to ask why she had rejected him. A single slap followed, but it was quickly stopped by Grace’s mother. No injuries were reported, and police were called.

Magistrate Nembaware remanded Chinandoro in custody until 23 January, leaving the village buzzing over his awkward love drama.
