THE Zimbabwe Women Sables bounced back from their hammering, at the hands of South Africa, with a comprehensive 72-0 win over Namibia at Newlands in Cape Town yesterday.
The three teams are taking part in the Africa Cup. The Zimbabweans had a horror start to the campaign, with their heavy 108-0 defeat, at the hands of their South African counterparts.
It was the 10th worst defeat in the history of women’s rugby union.
But, they bounced back in style yesterday as they tore apart the Namibians, to help restore some of their battered pride.
It was the second match for Zimbabwe while Namibia were playing their first match in the Africa Cup.
The Namibians will now take on South Africa in their next match on Thursday and could be up for a record mauling.
