Switzerland and British Ambassadors bid farewell

Switzerland’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Stephanie Ray and his counterpart from the United Kingdom, Mr Pete Vowles, are bidding farewell to President Mnangagwa today at State House after the end of their tour of duty.

Ambassador Ray has been in Zimbabwe since October 2022, while Ambassador Vowless commenced his tour of duty in October 2023.

The Switzerland diplomat has made various bilateral initiatives, including promoting arts and ecology programmes, as well as supporting urban resilience and informal traders in Bulawayo, among others.

Ambassador Vowles is leaving Zimbabwe with a legacy that goes beyond diplomacy, as he also worked in Zimbabwe as a teacher and a development worker.
